Cannes, April 5, 2022 \u2013 Almost 25 years after the very first broadcast of the program Un gars, une fille<\/i> <\/a>on Quebec television, <\/span>Les Distributions Avanti Cin\u00e9 Vid\u00e9o<\/a> is pleased to announce the 30th<\/sup> adaptation of the Un gars, une fille \u2013 Love Bugs<\/i> format by broadcaster TV JOJ<\/span><\/a>. Entitled “Tom\u00e1\u0161 & Diana<\/span>,” the Slovak version will include 26 22-minute episodes to be filmed in Slovakia<\/a> starting this summer<\/span>. The contract was negotiated by Arabelle Pouliot-Di Crescenzo<\/a> for Les Distributions Avanti Cin\u00e9 Vid\u00e9o.<\/p>\n

In Quebec<\/a>, Guy A. Lepage<\/a> and Sylvie L\u00e9onard<\/a> have left their mark on the television landscape with more than 130 episodes of the popular series that began on Radio-Canada<\/a> on May 1st<\/sup>, 1997. \u201cIt’s fascinating to see that, after so many years, new adaptations of Guy A. Lepage’s universal concept continue to emerge around the world. Time obviously does not diminish the interest in the stories of this endearing couple,” says Monique Lamoureux<\/a>, co-president of Distributions Avanti Cin\u00e9 Vid\u00e9o.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The prestigious independent research firm The Wit<\/a> had crowned the Un gars, une fille \u2013 Love Bugs<\/i> format, the title of Best Fiction Format in the History of International Television<\/i><\/b> at MIPTV<\/a> in 2014. In 2019, the format was still in first place as “Best Selling Scripted Format Ever” in the Top 100 scripted formats in the world of television by the company K7<\/a>.
