Cake That! (C’est plus que du gâteau !)

Cake That! is a documentary series that follows Montreal artistic pastry chef Dominique Matte, a woman who dared to go into business to devote herself exclusively to her passion for making spectacular cakes! Known for her unique, custom-made creations, she often throws caution to the winds, showing herself to be astonishingly inventive at satisfying and amazing her customers and their guests.

In each episode, we follow Dominique and her assistant Chloé as they create a made-to-measure cake for an event—a corporate soirée, a private party, a gala…Every order brings with it a new creative and logistical challenge, which the women are delighted to meet head-on. Through meetings, tight deadlines and her daily life as an entrepreneurial mom, we also get to know the personality of our artistic pastry chef—spontaneous, unique and colorful, just like her creations!
