In January 1998, Nathalie (Mélissa Désormeaux-Poulin) and Yves (Iannicko N’Doua) welcome their 6-year-old nephew, Benjamin (Gabriel Dubois-Michaud), orphaned by the tragic death of his parents. Forced into isolation by an unprecedented ice storm, Nathalie tries to adapt to the boy’s presence, which rekindles an old wound.
