La Dictée des Amériques is an international French-language spelling competition established by Télé-Québec in 1994 and broadcast throughout the world. Since its inception, over 850,000 people have taken part in the various qualifying rounds of La Dictée des Amériques in Africa, Latin America, Asia, Europe, the United States and Canada.
