The documentary series On Duty 24/7, broadcast on Télé-Québec, won the “Intermedia-globe GOLD” in the Documentaries: Medicine category at the WorldMediaFestivals – Television & Corporate Media Awards. Last year, the production won silver in the same category. The awards ceremony, which is usually held in Hamburg, Germany, honors content from over 41 countries.
Nadia Ruel, content producer since its inception, is delighted to see On Duty 24/7 shine once again on the international scene. “Our teams need to be extremely creative and resilient in these times of a pandemic. The recognition of the excellence of their work outside our borders is an additional source of motivation to push our limits once again and to bear witness, in an always relevant way, to the work of our health professionals,” she says. It also underlines the generosity of the heroes and the patients who allow the film crews and the directors to reflect their reality.
Enjoying considerable acclaim since its inception in the fall of 2015, On Duty 24/7 takes you behind the scenes of medicine through the daily life of hospital professionals. The documentary series has won several awards, including fifteen Gémeaux, as well as a gold and a silver medal at the New York Festivals International TV & Film Awards. A seventh season is in production.
All episodes of the On Duty 24/7 series are available for free to catch up on telequebec.tv and on the Télé-Québec application.
