Following the successful launch and outstanding ratings of Season 1, Avanti-Toast is proud to announce that France Télévisions has acquired Season 2 of the hit sports-themed tween and teen live-action drama First Line (Premier trio). The announcement follows recent pick-ups of Season 2 by SVT (Sweden) and RTS (Switzerland), while Season 1 continues to expand its reach with broadcasts on RTBF (Belgium) and YLE (Finland).

Distributed internationally by GoldBee, the story of Chloé – a determined young hockey player whose talent earned her a spot on an elite all-boys team – has become a staple for younger audiences; challenging stereotypes while navigating the rivalries, friendships, and emotional ups and downs of adolescence.

Monique Lamoureux, Copresident of Avanti-Toast, commented: “From the beginning, our ambition was to create a youth drama that combined authenticity, intensity, and heart. The continued success of First Line (Premier trio) across markets, and now the second acquisition by France Télévisions, is a testament to the creative talent and passion of everyone involved.”

Christophe Goldberger, Founding Managing Director of GoldBee, added: “France Télévisions is a perfect home for First Line (Premier trio), and their commitment to Season 2 underlines the global strength and universal themes of the series. Based on Nadia Lakhdari’s hit book series, First Line (Premier trio) delivers the authenticity and depth that today’s youth audiences demand. This is a series that inspires young viewers while keeping them entertained with top-level storytelling and relatable characters.”

First Line (Premier trio) shows no signs of slowing down, continuing to gather interest from new markets all the while enjoying tremendous success in Québec. The show ranks amongst the top 5 of most watched original youth programs on ICI TOU.TV since the platform launched in 2010. In its third and most recent season, Chloé leaves town to go prove herself at Camp Hope, while her friends are about to spend a summer far from the ice rink. This summer intermission will make them realize they’re much more than a hockey team.
